My weekend (in bullet and picture form)

Filed under: Apartment Living, Bullet points are your friend, The King, They're just my friends, We're having a baby.I know most of you probably have today off. Me? Not so much. But that’s okay. Why? Because at work I can sit all day at my desk. Which doesn’t require me to move at all. Which is good, since I am so tired from lack of sleep.
(Did I mention that I was at work until after 8:00 last Friday? Because I really should mention that.)
Things that took place this weekend:
- When I got home from work on Friday night, I was met by The King and our new stroller (which also has a car seat thingy for it). He put it together. All by himself. He is a genius. Yes, we were afraid the baby could come and we wouldn’t be able to bring him home since we didn’t have a car seat.
- Saturday during the day was spent at home doing all sorts of fun things while The King worked over at the new house. What sorts of fun things you ask? Laundry. Laundry isn’t so horrible to do. It’s the drying, folding and putting away that I’m not really a fan of. I also really don’t like putting the sheets back on the bed. But Preston loves it. It’s one of his favorite things (second only to humping my legs when I lay on the couch!)
- The King went over to his friends house on Saturday night. Leaving me home alone to babysit my friend May’s daughter. The King sort of has issues with this kid. He isn’t sure why. But he does. I was the one who had offered to babysit, so I stayed home with the little girl. We actually had a very fun time. We went outside for a walk and ate lots of raisins (the kind that come in the little boxes). She also really liked being able to stand up close to the TV. It was a little spooky.
- Me and the little girl had some fun trying to take a self-portrait of us together. We ran out of memory on the camera before we got a good one. Instead, I leave you with this picture, which is only a little creepy:

Very cute! Not very creepy at all.
I love your stroller. We got ours for Christmas and my hubby had soooooo much fun putting it together. He was like a little kid!

that picture’s not creepy, it’s adorable! Hooray for the stroller/car seat. It seems like you are well on your way to being totally prepared (at least for the things you can prepare for)
and your cat? i always thought i had the most beautiful cat in the world. I am currently rethinking that statement.

I love the painting in the pic of your stroller. Very cool. The stroller’s good too, but I was realy more taken with the painting!

It’s cute! Not creapy at all.
Yeah, we didn’t get a new carseat until two weeks before we had Lilly. We had to buy a new one to replace the one I bought used for 10 bucks. Apparently that’s a No-No. Anyhow, sometimes I wish we had the stroller thing to go with it because it looks very silly on my mis-matched stroller frame. But, who cares, right?

I didn’t have the day off either. I feel your pain. It was even worse because my husband, a teacher, had the day off. Now he has to cook me dinner. I win.

Awww. I love the pics you posted. Your hubby is so cute. And I love the pic of you and the little girl. You and The King are going to have a very beautiful, smart, artistic baby. Lucky kid’s got good genes.
And your cat is darling. I didn’t know cats do the leg humping too. I guess I know what you got from your Persian for Valentine’s Day. heehee.

that cat is majorly cute! I have an orange one curled up like that on my couch right now, but with much less fur.

Oh, it’s just MILDLY creepy
Yea, you got a stroller, you’re all set!! And as usual, I love your cat. SOOOO precious and fluffy. My sister’s cat plays “The Sheet Game” whenever there are new sheets. She tries to get under the fitted sheet
