The things I make my Grandma do

Posted by Isabel on June 7th, 2006. Filed under: They're just my family.

My Grandma arrived yesterday. As soon as we got her to my Aunt’s house, I unpacked the sack of goodies that I brought with me.

Guess what was in the sack?

If you guessed all of my sewing, you were right.

Sewing?

Yep, that’s right.

I recently bought some long pink pants at Gap for a screaming deal. But I didn’t need pink pants. I needed pink capri pants. Easy. I knew my Grandma was coming soon, so I bought the pants, knowing that she would easily make them into capri’s for me.

Which she did.

I also got a screaming deal on some great pinstriped trousers for work. Which needed to be hemmed. Especially to go with my new shoes.

Again, my Grandma hemmed the pants.

And they rock.

While my Grandma was sewing, my Aunt was cooking, and my Mom was ironing.

What we should have been doing was sitting in the hot tub.

Oh man, what I wouldn’t give tohave someone sewing, cooking or ironing in my house. Not that *I* do any of those things, but it woud be nice if someone was doin’ em.

Now, y’all all go get into the hot tub!

I would KILL for that hot tub right now. My muscles are so sore I can barely move. Also? I want your granny, baby, new house, etc. But mostly the hot tub.

God bless family. You can’t live with ‘em, you can’t live without them…..
Isabel- your little boy is amazingly adorable!!!! You should make him wear that green vest every day for the rest of his life. Could eat him up…..
