New in 2007?
Posted by Isabel on January 2nd, 2007. Filed under: Blog Addiction, I Rock.You know how sometimes you just get in a funk? A funk where you feel like the only thing you ever say is; my baby’s so cute, or my baby is so snuggly; or even dude, I can’t wait for our new house to get finished?
Yeah, that’s how I’ve been feeling lately. I’m in this funk. A funk that I haven’t been able to get out of, and believe you me, I’ve been trying. Christmas helped for a bit. It gave me other things to worry think about. There were gifts to buy and gifts to ask for. There were days off work where I could stay home and just snuggle my Sweet Babboo. And now that the Christmas season is over I need something new.
And then it hit us:
(And by us, I totally mean Mrs. Squirrel and me.)
A new blog. One where I can talk about things that aren’t lame (because you know, sometimes I feel like I only write about lame things here). But what would we blog about?? What is something that would hold our interest? Something that we would want to write about and you might like to read about?
Ahhh..back to the funk. We didn’t know what we wanted to blog about. But as we got closer to the new year, our new topic became clearer.
What a great way to start the New Year. We would try new things. And then document it with pictures and our own awesome commentary. We might even take suggestions. (But no suggestions from The King. So far his suggestions have all been sexual. And I just don’t have time for that right now. I’m busy with my new blog.)

Oh, thank the sweet baby Jesus. I was just sitting here, thinking about how it took me no time at all to catch up on 10 days of back-blogging, and now what am I supposed to do for the rest of the day at work. And then you give me a new website. Woohoo!
I feel you on the funk, though. Having one of those myself over here. We only have one more Tivo-ed episode of Man vs. Wild left, and then I might actually start crying, because that’s the most exciting thing in my life right now.

I’ll check that one out. It’s funny – since New Years, I’ve started two new blogs: a Resolutions blog, and a joint blog with a couple of friends. Must be something in the water.

That’s an awesome idea! I always try and think of something to add to my blog to make it special… like some sort of weekly, something. I still have yet to find something to do it on.
