King Friday - now with good newsJanuary 5th, 2007 @ 7:01 am
today is good and bad. i dont want to jinx anything, since i haven’t officially done any of this, but i think at this point it is safe to say a couple of things.
one, i have to give notice here at work. this is good and bad news. i’m ready to get out of here, i really am. but i really like the lady that is my direct supervisor. if it weren’t for her, this would be an easy thing to do. and i’ll miss her and the people here. i wont miss the job.
which leads us to #2. yup, i finally landed that job i’ve been waiting on. and as they pitched me the offer, it just got better and better. its definitely the right move for me and i think i’m gonna love it over there. and i’m ready for the change. its been years since i’ve worked somewhere that i actually look forward to going to in the morning. i’ll talk more about it in the coming weeks.
so, happy/sad day today. i’m a little nervous. being the new kid is always weird.
speaking of kid, isabel says i dont talk about our kid enough. i think i talk about him too much, just not here in these posts. he is the greatest little poop factory in the world. seriously, if you met him, you’d probably agree. and you’d probably even admit that he’s cooler than your own kid. he’s already eclipsed his father in coolness, and he cant even talk. case in point: we walk into the sephora or nordstrom down the street and the chicks just flock to him. he could get so much tail if he wanted. and we’re not talking old blue haired ex-wives. i’m talking grade A ass. all for him.
they never flocked to his old man like that. i’m just sayin’.
gotta go talk to the boss…

Congratulations on the new job! That is fabulous. What a wonderful thing to be able to look forward to going to work.
I had my boy just four days before Isabel had Babboo. Want to know what my brother got my sweet little baby boy for Christmas? A onesie that says “Hung Like a 5 Year Old.” Just think of how the ladies would flock if he sported one of those.

Congrats!! Quitting the old job is always bittersweet (unless you worked at my old job, in which case it was just SWEET AS HELL, but still scary because my boss was a raging bitch). I’m really happy for you guys! Way to go, King.
