Leaving the baby at home with Daddy, getting all dressed up in her fancy red shoes, going to a yummy restaurant for dinner and (free) dessert. And doing all of this with her fabulous friends.
You know what’s even better?
The promise from said fabulous friends to do it again in 3 weeks.
(sorry for being too lazy to black out all of their eyes. You know I like to do that.)

Girl’s Night Out is always a good thing. Me and some girlfriends of mine get together once a month for dinner and drinks. We have only missed a few in the last 3 years. It’s a great way to keep in touch and also, to just get out of the house for a little while.

Ahhhhhmen sister! Me and my girls get to go out once a week now!!! Once a week!! It’s totally awesome and so good for the sanity. It’s only made possible by Lily’s ability to go to bed at roughly the same time now, so I put her to bed and then head out while her daddy stays home. Once the new baby arrives I’m sure it will be a while before I am able to commit to a weekly meeting again. But for now…hallelujah!!

I love this idea! I think I’m going to start implimenting this same notion with my friends! Every month we should all go to dinner or a movie, or something. That way we can all keep in touch. You guys totally rock!

it is so nice to get out with friends from time to time. i hardly go anywhere anymore without my daughter. Every once in a while you gotta be able to do that. Keeps me sane!

I LOVE the rare nights out with girls. I just have to keep learning how to shake that guilt over leaving Dad at home to fend for himself. It sounds silly when I type it,but it’s true.
