In which I sum up my Birthday Weekend with pictures
Posted by Isabel on May 14th, 2007. Filed under: Random.Mother’s Day always seems like a good excuse to think about the wonderful people in our lives. More specifically the women who have taught us good things and been strong examples to us. I have been fortunate enough to have always been surrounded by the most fabulous women. Women who have taught me how to be the best me possible. It started with my Mom, Grandma and many aunts and has carried over to my Mother in law, sister’s in law and super duper awesomely fantastic friends (inside and outside my computer). I feel truly blessed and am thankful that I have these women around to make me better.
This Mother’s Day was extra special because it was also my 32nd birthday. This wasn’t the first time I’ve shared my birthday with Mother’s Day. But it is the first time since I’ve become a mom myself.
My best friend May asked me how I wanted to celebrate my birthday on Saturday (since The King was working over at the new house). My first thought was The Beach! We packed up the kiddies, got a sandwich, soda and chips and headed to The Beach.
While Babboo loved the potato chips, he hated the sand. This meant he did not venture off the blanket the entire time. Which means mommy didn’t have to chase him. Hooray.
I think my favorite part was when May’s daughter got upset at the seagulls for not wanting to eat her soggy left-overs and said to them; suck it seagulls! Like I haven’t wanted to tell the seagulls the same thing many times myself.

On a different note!!!! I think I have the same shoes..In fact, I wore them on Friday night when my mom & I came in 2nd place at a mother/daughter look alike contest at a local mall. I have pictures to prove I was wearing the shoes!!

Okay, I lived in Seattle for 1st and 2nd grade and I totally remember going to a field trip to this beach/park. The playground rocked my 7 year old socks, I remember that.
