What I Love and what I Hate right.this.second

To borrow from loveisblonde, I present you with what I’m thinking about right.this.second.
- Loving the three hours Babboo and I spent in our swimming pool on Saturday with three of my good friends and their three kids. We played in the water until we were prunes.
- Hating that I got peed on by Babboo two times while I was changing him in and out of his swimming suit. Thanks, kid.
- Loving the Seattle weather this weekend. Please, please stick around.
- Loving that I got a myspace message from Rhett Miller today. For reals. I mean he really typed it out and everything. For reals!
- Hating that now I’m nervous that Rhett might have actually read this blog. You know, since I gave him the URL and told him to do a “quick search for your name to see that I’m a true fan”. Gulp.
- Loving that I’ll have more to report on this whole Rhett Miller/Old 97’s adventure after tomorrow.
- Hating that I can’t stop grinning.
- Loving the huge 4th of July pool party we’re throwing this Wednesday.
- Loving that the weather should be in the 80’s on Wednesday.
- Hating the prep work for said party. (How many kabobs should I plan on making for the 30 people that are coming?)
- Loving that The King and I went to see Ocean’s 13 this weekend. First movie we’ve seen in the theater since Babboo was born.
- Loving our friends for agreeing to babysit for us so we could see the movie.
- Hating that The King and I don’t get to go out like that as often. (We will have to do this again when The Bourne Ultimatum comes out in August. We love the Bourne movies.)
So tell me, what’s on your mind this Monday morning?

Isabel,
I found that when throwing extravagant parties that the number of kabobs depends greatly upon the number of delicious side dishes also being presented. If the side dishes are plentiful and you are confident in their ability to climb into the stomachs of those attending, 3 kabobs per person will suffice. If you lack confidence 4-5 kabobs should suffice.

Gah! I want to see Ocean’s 13. It’s hard to keep up. We saw Ratatouille instead, and loved it!

Ohh, and WE saw Ratatouille and triple loved it! It was sooo adorable.

hate: ocean’s 13 was only okay, and it took us like an hour to find parking at the theatre

love: Special K cereal with the strawberries in it.
hate: when you get towards the bottom of the box and there are no more berries, just plain cereal.
also hate: spoiled milk.
love: cinnamon-vanilla coffemate and the way it makes our awful coffee taste delicious.

love: getting a new job and telling shitty job “here is your two weeks ” suckas
hate: having a stir crazy husband at home with a broken collarbone put back in place with a titanium plate who thinks he is going to help shovel mulch tonite.
love: having pretty flowerbeds
hate: having 2 cubic yards of mulch on a tarp in my driveway and having to put up trellis around my deck (bc I have to use a saw and would like to keep my fingers intact)

Love: That Luke is making steak tonight.
Hate: That I was on hold with AT&T for almost THREE HOURS BEFORE a “Due to technical problems, we are unable to take your call at this time” message popped and disconnected me. UGH.

I don’t really care about the Ocean’s or Bourne movies, but I am very excited (on your behalf, of course) about the personal attention from Rhett!! I very much share your love of that boy.

Hate: Post Herpetic Neuralgia. That’s pretty much it. Hate it in general but especially the fact that I have it. Grrr
