I always envied the bus kids and thought being able to ride the bus home would be the absolute coolest thing ever. This is probably my version of your magical walkway gate. It's like going through someones backyard to get to the other side of the street, except you don't go through a backyard. I always think it's so neat. One of my good friends in High School also had one of these walkways in her neighborhood. I think they're totally awesome. They call them something like a kitty walk or something weird like that.
