Things That Are Ruining My Life Right Now

In honor of FluentBrittish, I present you with

Things That Are Ruining My Life Right Now

  • The King and I made a commitment to the environment years ago when we began construction on our new house. In keeping with this commitment The King recently decided to try out some new awesome flushable diapers for our Sweet Babboo. I flushed the first diaper down the toilet last night, just like the directions directed me to do. And somehow, the thing that shouldn’t happen happened and I ended up in about 2″ of standing toilet water with a flushable diaper wedged so far up the pipe that The King had to race home from working over at the new house to dislodge said flushable diaper (and to talk me down from the balcony).
  • I missed “Lost” last night in all the madness from the flushable diaper debacle. I won’t be home tonight to watch “Lost”. Which means I won’t see it until Saturday during Babboo’s nap. (That is, if I’m not too busy washing all the wet towels from the flushable diaper disaster.)
  • The fact that I only want to eat foods that have the following ingredients: flour, sugar, and eggs.
  • There is not enough time in the day to finish my first ever vampire themed novel.
  • The Rain. Really, is there anything else I can say about this? I live in Seattle where we don’t see The Sun for the better part of the winter. I am desperate for The Sun. Desperate.
  • I haven’t done my “Secret Sister” assignment for this week yet. I need to work on that tomorrow. You know, if I’m not too busy catching up on “Lost” and doing laundry.

And last, but not least in the list of Things That Are Ruining My Life Right now

  • Clicking over from my blog reader to see more pictures of Mrs. Squirrel’s brand new baby and seeing this (see below) instead of her usual beautiful blog. Mrs. Squirrel, where are you? And are you okay?!

So tell me, what is ruining your life right now? (At least it’s Friday, right?)

Someday I’ll be caught up on LOST (I’m still in season 3) and then I’ll finally be able to read your hilarious TV blog. Until then, I must avoid it like the plague.

Me, I clicked over for an explanation of this third nipple thing. It totally freaked me out to get to pop-up city. EEK!!

There was an article in this week’s Newsweek about “green construction”. I thought of you guys (mostly because all of you in the Pacific Northwest are tree-hugging hippies):

Sorry about the diaper situation. I wanted to try those flushable diapers, too, but I guess now I know not to!

And I too was freaking about at the Squirrells.

    1) The rain is ruining my life too. Sun? What’s that?!

    2) Daylight Savings- I am draaaaaaaaging this week.

    3) Dark Chocolate Peanut M & M’s- why must you exist and why must I love you so??

    4) Work. It bores me. I am so uninspired!

    5) Not being unpacked, having a couch or a dresser. (Hope to remedy that this weekend!)

    6) Not having any dark chocolate peanut m & m’s at work.

    7) PMS

I think that’s it. For now.

    :)

My husband and I both work for my father’s business and its not going well. The pressure of working for family sucks. So really, I guess my father is ruining my life. And we have to decide if we are moving to west virginia or arizona TODAY. AND…. I’m pretty sure I am teaching sunday school this week. Crap.

Thing ruining my life right now: it says this post has 9 comments, yet none of them are showing up as readable… ???

(Oh yeah, and other actual emergencies, but this tops them!) :)

Sorry about the ‘flushable’ diapers- I have never heard of those! Yikes!

Things ruining my life right now:
rain and coldness (it’s blasted snowing right now!)
1st grade easter partae (I mean really- we just had the valentines party!)
    Avery and Ty fighting (constantly)
Ty’s poopy diaper (that I have been ignoring for awhile!)
    lunch (I hate making lunch!)

Hope your weekend is better! Love ya!

Oh that is terrible about the flushable, or rather toilet clogging diaper.

Mine would be this project at work. Sucking up all my time, and leaving me generally a complete grump. Hopefully the weekend will do me good.

And mrs squirrel - what happened?! And you can search on Mountain Lion?!!

Give the flushable dipes another chance… they may work. But only do it when The King is home.

As far as things ruining my life right now? Not having chocolate, my mother and the weather.

Oy! Sorry about the flushable diaper debacle.

As for me, winter is not so much ruining my life right now as much as I’m SO READY FOR IT TO BE OVER.

My friends exclusively use G-Diapers. But, they don’t have apartment plumbing. Because, let’s face it, they’re rich. And, that is what ruins my life. That friends my age own magnificent houses. And, I do not.

OH GOODIE! Another Vampire book! I’ve been devouring all the *good* vampire books I can get my hands on ever since I got sucked into Twilight last year. Is this one worth the read?

I’ll tell you what: BLOGS have been running my life lately! Since I got struck down by the Headcold Plague I can’t seem to get off the dang computer! My negelected laundry is screaming for me like an abandoned infant. Why do all of you people have to be so damn interesting?!!!

I was just talking about flushable diapers with a friend today and how they’re supposed to be more environmentally friendly that disposables and cloth. I can’t use them since we have a septic tank…but now you’ve made me think twice about them even if we get on sewer.

I’m not sure about flushable diapers but we had disastrous results with those Kandoo thingys. I posted about it and then people came out of the woodwork to say that they also had to pay a plumber big bucks after using them. One said that her plumber told her, “Sure it’s flushable. But so is gravel. And you shouldn’t be putting that in your toilet.”

My guess is that those flushable diapers shouldn’t REALLY be flushed. Those little Kandoo wipes cost me almost $500 for two separate plumber visits. Not fun.

hmmm, flushable diapers. Seems to me to fall into the category of “what seems too good to be true PROBABLY IS!”
    Ack!
On a positive note, I am holding out for our Mamma Mia night next week!!

Flushable diapers? I don’t think we have them here! Sorry I forgot to pay my domain bill…thanks for alerting me, though. I’ve been out of it! Um, not seeing LOST right away blows, because someone always wants to talk about it, and then you have to deal with their disappointment, too!!

You mean the Vampire themed novel isn’t the Twilight series?! Oh my…. You have no idea what you’re missing out on. I’m totally obsessed. More than I was with Harry Potter, which I thought was impossible… but I am. I heart Edward! :)
