In Which a Guest Poster Draws Bonnets on Isabel’s Head
Posted by Isabel on September 2nd, 2008. Filed under: Guest Posts.In January, Isabel came to Utah to see her family, and I went to pick her up from the airport.. As I circled the loading zone, I nearly pulled over for some dark-haired lady with a cute purse and a stroller. I was mid-wave (with a very large smile on my face) when I realized it was NOT Isabel. Can you imagine how that lady would have felt if I’d pulled over and tried to buckle her child in my car seat?
{{Shudder}}
The poor lady probably still has nightmares about my over-enthusiastic approach. I was at the airport once, and this totally psychotic lady came after me and my baby. And…. and…. SHE WAVED AT US!!!! Oh goooooooosh! [insert horrific sobbing here].
So the other day I was sitting on my duff watching TV – a common practice in the Brittish household – when I saw that clip on PBS Kids that talks about Sunmaid Raisins being a proud sponsor of Curious George…. whatever. We don’t care about the raisins. What we do care about is the familiar face on the box:

Isabel is way prettier than the Sun Maid Raisin gal. And, is it weird that I always wanted a bonnet? Too much Little House on the Prairie for me, I guess.

I totally had bonnets when I was kid, thanks to Little House on the Prairie. Good times, good times.

I loved this post. LOL. I normally cringe when people have ‘guest posters’ but I just laughed when I saw the raisin comparison.

Once I stalked Isabel at the fancy shmancy mall in downtown Seattle. I think I freaked out The King.

Isabel freakin’ ROCKS! I heart her.
I should have stalked her during my trip near Seattle. If I would have had more time, I totally would have. Don’t worry, this spring they should be shooting “New Moon” and if they do, we’re going down again! And I’ll be SO stalking Isabel!

YES. I totally saw a woman in Michael’s that so resembled Isabel a few months ago. She probably wondered what the hell I was staring at!

I emailed her a couple of months ago asking if she was at Macy’s in St. Louis because I think I freaked out a complete stranger.
