In which I get worked up over a vampires messy hair and sweat stains
Posted by Isabel on November 19th, 2008. Filed under: Addictions, Random.Did you hear that a new movie about vampires or werewolves or something like that is coming out this week?
Dude, of course you know that Twilight: The Movie is coming out on Friday!!
Of course!
Like me, you probably read the books in a few short weeks and then reread them and then maybe listened to them on your iPod. (NERD!) Heck, my love for the teenage vampire/warewolf love triangle love series went international this summer. (Super Nerd!)
I’ve been perusing the interweb for new trailers of the movie and more pictures of Edward/Rob perfectly disheveled hair. (I suspect it took Edward the first fifty years of vampire life to perfect his coiffure.) (I mean seriously, look at his hair. It’s so lovely and just the way I like it and you know it takes him hours to style even thought he probably says “I just wake up and go”. LIAR.)
(Seriously, I would lick his hair.)
(Why all the parenthesis?)
(I can’t stop.)
I admit I hadn’t been that excited to see Twilight: The Movie. (Oh yes, I must refer to it this way.) (I think it’s funnier to refer to it as Twilight: The Movie.) Mostly because I didn’t want the story ruined for me in anyway. But then I watched a commercial for it last night and decided that I’m just going see the movie and just enjoy the ride. While it would be fun to see the movie on Thursday night with all the super fans, the reality of my life (hello, hello full time job and toddler!) I won’t be seeing it until Saturday afternoon. (I bought my ticket yesterday.) But, thankfully, I will be seeing it with a gaggles of lady-friends. And then we’ll be going out for a sushi lunch. I imagine lunch will be quiet. We’ll all be too busy thinking about Edward and trying to figure out how we can leave our husbands and find our own teenage vampire. (I love pretty close to Forks. So I think I have an advantage.)
Right, as if I’m the only one with these thoughts.
(I lean a little more towards Team Jacob. But I can totally appreciate Edward’s appeal.)
I’ve mentioned my penchant his messy hair, right? Oh la, la, la.
So while I love, love, love The Hair I admit to being a little taken aback while watching the free Twilight: The Movie trailer on iTunes this morning. I mean, since when do vampires sweat?
I guess it seems logical that if vampires have Super Sperm they would also have Super Sweat. Maybe antiperspirant (and condoms?) don’t work on vampires awesome bodily functions.
So tell me, when will you be seeing Twilight: The Movie? What are you thoughts on it? And will you be wearing your Twilight inspired shirt your mom* sent you? Oh, right it was my mom that sent me a Twilight shirt. (Super Duper Nerd!)
* My mom has been a Twilight fan since years before it was cool to be a Twilight fan. My sister recently borrowed my mom’s copies of the books to read. Get this, my mom made notes in her books. She highlighted Edward and Bella’s first kiss and wrote “First Kiss – Magical” in the margin. I AM NOT KIDDING. My sister reported that my mom also wrote “Edward is beautiful” during another pivotal scene. Good Lord I’m glad I didn’t borrow my mom’s copy. I could not handle that.

Your mom is adorable. Of course I say that because she’s not MY mom. I can’t get over how drugged up and non-sparkly Rob Pattinson is in interviews. Also, I may be getting old because all I can think when I see him (not in the movie, of course) is CUT YOUR DAMN HAIR, sonny! Or comb it or wash it or something, PLEASE.

Do you think Rob did his hair like that back in the days when he was Cedric Diggory or is he just trying too hard to be cool for his new role? I have my suspicions.

I’m going to have to see it soon, before too many “experts” post their reviews and ruin it for me. Can you jet in to STL to see it with me? It might be a big much for Maddy.

I am suddenly a huge fan of your mom. That is awesome.

Eww. Pit stains. Fairly sure that vampires remain cool under all circumstances and do not perspire.
I love that your mom wrote little notes in her book. She should be part of the SDBBE.

I do not find the actor playing Edward to be good looking. His face is all smushed in.
I am going to the movie, 10pm on Thursday, with a friend, her 9 year old daughter, my 13 year old and 3 of her friends.
My daughter plans on lining up at 7.
She is trying to convince my mum to read the books. I sort of hope she doesn’t like them as much as youmum does!

Oh, I’m going on Thursday night. And Friday night. And possibly on Saturday and Sunday as well.
I had a dream last night in which I (not me as Bella, me as me) left Joel for Robert Pattison (not Edward, Robert Pattinson) and his delicious hair. I think things are getting a little too realistic up in here. But it was a VERY good dream. There was PG-rated kissing involved, is all I’m saying.

I love your mom. LOVE HER. She is so great. She SHOULD be in SDBBE, but then I’d feel like I have to tone down my comments a little bit…
Rob, Rob, Rob. You have the best hair. I feel you’re a bit self-conscious in interviews & don’t let your best self through. Don’t worry, we love you & everything you say. Just relax. I’m afraid the movie is going to be a bit cheesy, but I will still love it. I embrace it. And I embrace you, Rob.

I will definitely be seeing this movie someday. Probably on rental, since my baby is due any day now. So, vampires can’t cry tears, but their eyes and mouths produce venom. The men obviously produce sperm, though. (What’s up with that?) Now sweat? Huh?

DUDE! This is my favorite post ever! It has so many sexy pics of Rob! Oh my lord I might just die right now. He’s so damn hot! I’ve loved Rob since I googled him when he was first cast as Edward. I know I’m a bit shallow because I didn’t love him as much as Cedric, but I still loved him because I loved Cedric. But my love grew once that hotty hot hot pic of him came up on my computer about a year ago. Now I’m a full fledged fan of Rob. I’ve seen all his prior movies and have a collection of his music.
I saw the movie last night and cannot freakin’ wait for tomorrow so I can see it again. It is super duper amazing. I had awesome Twilight: the movie
dreams last night.
And Rob’s hair?! Amazingly hot. I get so mystified when people say they hate him looking scruffy or dis shuffled, but I love it. And I’m more mystified that some people don’t think he’s attractive… because I can’t stop staring at him. That’s the type of guys I like so it’s perfect for me. So hot. (Sidenote to Britt: Rob did his hair like that back in HP days, just fyi.)
Oh, and I noticed the sweat too, but luckily they have some amazing editing skills in the actual movie scene, and you don’t see the sweat. But you can see the gorgeousness.
Did I mention I’m in love with Rob?
Rob and I will be getting married someday.

I would totally lick his hair, too. He’s pretty yummy.

OMG. I JUST started reading the FIRST “Twilight” book 2 days ago and I am already COMPLETELY addicted to it! (I know, I’m totally late to the Twilight scene and I totally regret it because it’s SO AWESOME.) When I read that the book takes place in Forks, WA, my first thought was “Hmm…that must be near Isabel.” I just hope it doesn’t rain in Seattle as much as it does in Forks!

I know this may bring on a lot of hate, but I think the actor looks like a douchebag. He’s trying way too hard.
November 20th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
I might read the books and see the movies at some point. I’ve heard mixed reviews from some people so I’m not sure. I do think its funny the author has never been to Forks, and the movie isn’t even set in Forks.

Somehow, out of the blue, my husband says, Do you want to see twilight? Given my dislike of Bella, it was questionable if I would see it, but….Hey, if he’s OFFERING to see go see a chick flick with me? Who am I to turn him down?
Plus, I only started to not like Bella after the 3rd book; I loved Twilight the most, so yeah, I’ll be there eventually. There is a cool movie-cover paperback out now, and they all look pretty hott. Have fun seeing it with your friends!!!!

I am going tonight at midnight and I love, love, love that your mom wrote notes in her book. So classic. Guess who is going with me tonight? My mom!

I have to post on this again because dude… Rob is so freakin’ hot. I just can’t get over it. I’m sad that Twilight’s becoming a fad, because as much as I want it to do well, I’m sad that everyone is going to love him, not just me. How am I supposed to let him know I’m different when I meet him? (Because I WILL meet him. It’s gotta happen.)
Oh, and did you hear that they officially confirmed today that they will be doing New Moon?! I’m so excited!

Okay so yeah, Rob is hot, hot, hot and I too *love* his hair! I haven’t had time to see the movie yet (I’m always late to the party) but I’m going to. SOON.
