In which a trip to Canada stops sounding like a bad idea
Posted by Isabel on March 13th, 2009. Filed under: Addictions, Vacations. When we went to Vancouver, Canada for Thanksgiving we just happened to walk into a fabulous furniture store that just happened to be having an awesome sale on their awesome furniture. And by “awesome”, I mean “holy crap, check out these prices”!
Needless to say, we bought a new rocking chair.
(We could not resist.)
Since the prices were so rock-bottom, the furniture store was actually on back order for the awesome rocking chair. We paid our money and promised to come and pick up the chair when it was delivered at a later date. The chair has now been delivered to the store and it’s time to go and pick it up. Of course, the last thing I want to do is head out of the country to pick up a rocking chair. A rocking chair we no longer need.
(Shoot me now, Universe.)
(Seriously.)
We’ve been putting off making this trek to Canada to get the rocking chair. The furniture store is now calling The King almost daily to remind him to pick up your damn chair. Apparently they don’t feel like storing our chair in their warehouse while we work through our latest baby issues.
We decided we can longer put this off and have decided to head up to Canada for a quick weekend trip. We invited a couple from The King’s work to join us. They’ve never been to Canada. We figured having them around would help make the trip a little more enjoyable. You know, take our minds off the new rocking chair and holy crap, what are we going to do with a rocking chair?!
And then…
AND THEN…
I read…
filming for “New Moon” has begun!
And I saw this…

Oh yes, EDWARD is back!!
And you’ll never guess where they are filming the movie.
VANCOUVER, CANADA!
I guess maybe heading up to Canada right now isn’t such a bad idea.
I won’t be the only one trying to get close to the filming.
Christar and her mom are driving up from Utah this weekend to visit the set of the movie. They did this for the filming of “Twilight”, and got super lucky and were able to meet most of the cast. They did not meet Edward Rob last time and Christar told me she’s not leaving Canada until she gets to stalk meet Edward Rob.
Now I just need to figure out where, exactly, they are filming. And figure out a way to convince The King (and our friends, who have never read the book) that we must visit the set.
WE MUST.

I don’t even like Twilight (please don’t shun me) but the idea of stalking a movie-set sounds like a fantastic way to spend the weekend.
Happy Vampire Hunting!

Hey, that’s an awesome rocking chair, and I think you could use it maybe in your living room for regular seating, couldn’t you? Maybe laze in it while reading a book after Babboo has gone to bed or something. Very exciting about Edward! I hope you have a fun trip.

Ugh, I haven’t even seen the first movie yet but I’m excited they’re filming the second one now. Of all the books, the second one was my least favorite but it might make for a good movie. Maybe there will be less moping.
I hope you do get to visit the set and see the fabulousness that is Edward’s hair in person!

I love the rocking chair! And me = INSANELY jealous that you could possibly meet Edward…I mean Rob. You have to convince your friends to stop off at the set, because this is a once in a lifetime chance! Have a nice trip!

Oh, please tell Kristen Stewart to get as many tips from Dakota Fanning as possible! Maybe you could take her a notebook and a pencil… she’d appreciate that, I’m sure. Just tell it’s from me, with love.

Dude, I SO CAN’T WAIT!
I just cleaned my car.
Still doing laundry and packing.
Going to Wal Mart in just a few to get food.
ROB, HERE I COME!!!
And I am super excited to see you! You never know… maybe we’ll stay long enough that we can stalk together! How amazing would that be?!

First – since when you do you need a new baby to enjoy a rocking chair? That looks like a very modern, cool rocking chair that anyone can enjoy at any time! And besides, Babboo is still rockable.
Second: Laughing at your teenage ‘crushes’ and all. LOL. Even if they were filming something across the street from me, I can’t say I’d do more than give it a passing glance no matter WHO was filming there. Maybe I’m just weird but famousosity (my own made up word just now) doesn’t impress me. Ha ha.
