In which I can’t stop with the fake mustaches. Even if I wanted to.

Dear Interweb, I am sorry if you are sick of the fake mustaches.  But mostly I AM NOT SICK OF THEM.  Oh no.  I am loving them.

Especially because they are still coming in.  We received this beauty last week.

baby

Which was followed by this ’stache photo the next day.

belly

Oh yes, that is the belly housing the previous ultrasound picture.

(We have awesome friends, BTW)

The King thought the belly/baby pictures were “creepy”.  I just thought it was hilarious.

And really, is there anything more awesome then a baby with a big fake yellow mustache taken with a camera phone?

boy

Except maybe a toddler with  a bowl cut and a fingerstache!

becky

Oh yes, small children with fake mustaches is comedy gold.

fluent-brittish

Okay, maybe a fake handle bar mustache made out of construction paper is even more awesome.

My mom receives extra points for this fun little exercise for taking her picture with her iBook’s photo booth option while wearing her best work scrubs.

mom

(Clearly she had just gotten off work and hurriedly took her picture to submit for The King’s virtual ’stache birthday party)

My dad also used the photo booth, but he took it to the next level and added some brows.  (And some bad lighting.)

dad

(My dad typically has a real mustache.  I wonder if he put the fake mustache on top of his real one?  If so, I appreciate his silliness.)

We can see from that last picture of my dad where my little younger brother gets his awsomeness from. (Clearly it’s from my dad.  In case you missed that.)

The King’s coworker incorporated food into his fake mustache picture.

Although I do admit that this next picture is my faves.

At first glance you mostly just notice the awesome fake mustache of The King’s childhood pal.

But look a little closer.  What is that in the back seat?

friends-2

Oh yes, it’s The King.  AWESOME.  The King’s BFF received extra point from me for sending a picture that actually included The King!

Even Tina thinks it’s awesome.

So tell me, have I shed new light on the fake mustache phenomenon?  Have I convinced you to wear a fake mustache to work everyday?

Because you should.

I refuse to wear my fake mustache to work everyday, but it is taped to the wall of my office, so I can pretty much guarantee it will still get a lot of use. How awesome that so many people wanted to play along! I’m sure the King is feeling pretty loved right now (and you should feel pretty powerful, Isabel, because I’m not sure I would have been able to convince so many people to do something so silly…)

Ok, first of all, I have to say that Isabel is the queen of awesome shrinky dink necklaces. I still have the completely adorable one she gave me at BlogHer07, and it has a place of honor in my jewelry box. I will be wearing it to BlogHer09!

Second, holy cow are the dink ’stashes adorable! Cuter than I could have imagined. Isabel, I think you need to sell them on Etsy. Cuz some people are too lazy to follow your cute how to posts.
