Just give me a freakin’ burrito already!
Posted by Isabel on December 10th, 2009. Filed under: Addictions.I’ve had throat issues for almost a month now. I haven’t been feeling sick. I just sound like a man when I talk. A few nights ago I‘d finally had enough of it and I downed some NyQuil. (Oh how I love thee.)
Today my throat is killing me. And I still sound like a man.
I’m also wearing long johns under my work clothes.
Thankfully I smell good today. I’m using the new lotions I won from Lorelee and they are yummy, yummy, yummy.
Last Friday, at work, I had a coworker confide in me that he’s pretty sure his girlfriend of three weeks was The One. Naturally he’s all puppies and unicorns.
Love is in the air.
Then at Friday nights company party another coworker confided in me that she’s pretty sure her new boyfriend is The One. She’s been texting with him all day and meeting for late lunches. She walks around the office with a grin on her face and a spring in her step.
Love is in the air.
Today I got an e-mail from a good friend IRL. She’s been dating a new guy and things are going well. Very well. So well, in fact, that her e-mail was filled with all of his awesome traits. While she didn’t come right out and say “he’s The One”, she alluded to him being The One.
Love is in the air.
A Chipotle opened in downtown Seattle last Friday. I’ve oft heard of The Internets love of their veggie burrito. I have yet to eat at a Chipotle. Everyday, since Friday, I’ve walked over to get some lunch. Everyday there has been a huge line. Everyday I’ve lacked the patience to wait in the line. Today, I’m waiting. I have got to try this fabulous burrito and their guacamole. I’ve decided that today is the day that I wait in line. I’m giddy with anticipation of lunch time.
Love is in the air.

Order that burrito on the internet and skip past the line yo! If you have an iphone I HIGHLY recommend the chipotle ordering app, but you can do the same thing on their website

I LOVE chipotle. I’ve been enjoying burritos there for years. There are several chipolte restaurants in Kansas City. My favorite item to order is a burrito bowl with barbacoa.
I hope you start feeling better.

Yum. How was it?

Maybe I should move to Seattle, because love is definitely not in the air in SLC. Quite the opposite. – The closest thing to love being in the air is that this semester is over and I graduate in under 5 months.

How does Chipolte compare to Qdoba??

Their line usually moves very quickly, even if it does look daunting. (I also highly recommend placing an order online and then picking it up.)

Oh how I love this post. We’re having burrito night at our house tonight (it’s a big occasion for the 4 year old and the 18 month old because they get to make their own… oh god the mess.) And so I’m feeling all lovey dovey about burritos too. It’s always a weird feeling to have a bunch of people around all in the throes of LoveLoveLove. All those pheromones and everything. And why can’t I spell this morning? Did I get pheromone right? Is the plural of burrito burritos or burritoes? I think I need some sleep.

I’m a QDoba fan, myself, but I will admit having been addicted to Chipotle in the past. Hope you love it!

I too highly recommend the “order online and skip the line” application.
Now I’m singing that Love is in the Air song. Thanks. It’s a happy song to sing on a cold day!

I still think Cafe Rio is better than Chipotle.
And, for the record, love *is* in the air.

I just *heart* burritos, and we don’t even have a Chipotle.
I’ve been thinking of you lately. I hope winter has not become too dour for you. It’s already pretty yucky even down here.

An update on your Chipotle experience would be appreciated. I ate at one in Berkley once, and really liked it. Where I live we have this copycat chain called Qdoba which isn’t half as good.

WELL???? How’d the line and the burritto go? Inquiring minds want to know. Plus I need a reason to go back to Seattle – why not make it “for the burrittos?” As good a reason as any.
